STEP 1 : THE INFUSION
WATER-BASED FLORALCY
WATER-BASED FLORALCY
For this first step, we will focus on transparent, delicate, almost watery notes that we often associate with skincare.
The feeling of comfort and freshness those fragrances provide are here to simulate a moisturizing effect. They bring lightness and radiance to the composition. The flowers are used under the spectrum of transparency to recall caring & soft skin infusions.
We think of rose and peony but also of invigorating fruity notes such as Blackcurrant, Lychee, or Lemon. As they were part of freshly harvested flowers for an invigorating floral splash.

This is reminiscent of another Coperni dress during the SS23 Haute-Couture “Alchimie de la Mode” show in which we saw a pale blue dress combining two materials.
Satin for femininity, softness and transparency (the designers wanted the finest material possible) and glass to evoke drops of water.
The sequin-cut glass (or tortoiseshell, hi mermaid trend!) tinkles in the room as the mannequin strikes through the catwalk: reminiscent of the lapping of water placing the Coperti woman once again in the center of attention.
RELATIVE TO
SYMTRAP BLACKCURRANT
“Lautier’s natural Blackcurrant SymTrap® is an addictive cooked red fruit note that reminds me of blackcurrant liqueur from the Burgundy region, evoking a combination of blackcurrant ice cream, baked red fruits and green cooked tomatoes.”

PERFUMER TALK
In Fine Fragrance China, fruity notes can be accepted as long as they are not sticky or sweet. Symtrap blackcurrant has a non-sticky fruity top note that is quite addictive. It reminds me both of a blackcurrant liqueur I used to enjoy in Austria (my father's homeland) and the acidity found in a kir royal with champagne.
I also have a hay note which brings an interesting powdery floral note, almost mimosa or even iris.I often compare this symtrap with davana essential oil, which is quite intriguing to the Chinese because of its multi-faceted, fruity, liquorice, almost rhum and acidic qualities. I also have a phenolic animalic effect in the background which I also find in the Vanilla Bourbon Madagascar absolute.
I like to combine the blackcurrant Symtrap with the blackcurrant base to enhance the latter.I use this Symtrap a lot to develop white tea notes thanks to its slightly powdery hay facet , which is very popular in China. I also find that this Symtrap adds complexity to floral notes such as rose. This Symtrap brings a fresh and crisp facet to the rose.
